His Excellency Prime Minister of Vanuatu, In relation to the plan of PNG government to remove West Papuan Refugees 2000 to Kiunga, East Awin, PNG, at the moment we are continuously refusing it as there are so many problems related to the processes of the removal. The only reason is the the Papuans do not want to move, as they know already that Kiunga is the hell for them. Whoever sent there have never come back alive. That is the open prison for anyone from this Papua Soil.
WASHINGTON - September 24 - The U.S. Senate yesterday voted to renew bans on International Military Education and Training (IMET) and foreign military financing (FMF) for Indonesia. In passing the Foreign Operations Appropriations bill, the Senate agreed to continue the ban on grants of military equipment through the FMF program and on licenses for export of lethal equipmentuntil certain conditions are met, and to extend the ban on IMET until the State Department determines that the Indonesian armed forces and government are cooperating with the FBI's investigation into the murder of U.S.
We would like to hereby declare that we are not going anywhere inside PNG territory, except to remain in Vanimo, PNG, according to the following agreement in a meeting between the villagers and the refugees. If there is any plan, because of being paid by colonial power of Indonesia, then there is no way we are going anywhere inside PNG territory, EXCEPT, we are removed from Papua Land, and go to the Republic of Vanuatu.
The Worldwide Fund for Nature--WWF--renowned the world over as a charitable organization established to protect endangered species, is provably responsible for the slaughter of animals and human beings across Africa and on other continents around the globe on an unprecedented scale. The 1994 Rwanda genocide is but the latest instance of the WWF in action.

John Rumbiak, Chairman of International Affairs for the respected West Papua Human Rights organisation ELSHAM, tours New Zealand between September 20 and October 19. He is available for interview and comment during this time. John Rumbiak, who is currently a visiting Scholar at Columbia University's Centere for Human Rights Study, brings a clear challenge to New Zealanders to face up to the ongoing crisis in Indonesian controlled West Papua. Mr Rumbiak is West Papua's most influential human rights defender.
All around the world, as you read this, children of other cultures are being kidnapped and forced into schools against their will and that of their tribes. People from Indonesia to Zaire are being forcibly removed from their ancestral homelands into shoddy shanty towns with poor sanitation and bad food. These people want to stay in their homelands, living as they always have; with no leaders and no civilisation; hunting and gathering. But the land they live on contains rich minerals and trees. The greedy eyes of westerners want it, so they take it. A familiar story? Corporate aggression?
A former pilot has been jailed for 20 years for murdering Indonesian rights activist Munir Thalib - reversing an earlier ruling quashing his conviction. Pollycarpus Priyanto was jailed for 14 years in 2005, but had his conviction overturned 10 months later. Indonesia's Supreme Court has now reversed that decision - reinstating his initial conviction and increasing his sentence to 20 years. Munir was poisoned with arsenic in 2004 on board a flight to Amsterdam.
The death of the campaigner, who had helped to expose rights abuses by the security services, caused an international outcry.
RESPONSE TO WWF ABOUT PNG INDIGENOUS NGO COMPLAINTS - Indigenous people throughout the world must know of WWF's actions in Papua New Guinea. In PNG we have not only WWF but other BINGOS (big international NGOs) such as Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy. The recent fPcN comment that the WWF defence was "bullshit" is spot on. Here are the details of what is happening in Papua New Guinea with WWF and other BINGOs.
