Dear all supporters and interested people, fPcN Germany (friends of Peoples close to Nature/Freunde der Naturvölker e. V.) will participate at the 22nd session of the "Working Group on Indigenous Populations" at the UN in Geneva, from 19th till 23rd July 2004. We have already invited and organised a speech, at the UN Working Group for Indigenous Populations 2004, for:
Mr. Benny Wenda (fPcN West Papua), founder of the traditional tribal assembly "DeMMaK" from West Papua will be unable to speak, this years about the human right situation in Indonesia. Because the Swiss authorities would not grant him a visa on his residency permit. At the time of application, a request for special circumstances, but thay failed to trigger any compasssion from the Swiss. An application for a passport for Benny is pending, so that he's freedom to travel to these massively important meetings, can take place. fPcN will continue to support ka ka Benny Wenda in his endevours.

Mr. Charles Uwiragiye (fPcN Central Africa), representative of the Batwa pygmies from Rwanda to speak about the pygmy situation 10 years after the massacre among the Hutu and Tutsi.

Within the University of Lueneburg, Germany we will broadcast a live stream (using Quicktime) in mixed German and English language from the 22dn session on 21st and 22nd July 2004 at 12 noon middle european time for at least 30 minutes each day at the "Mensa".
