GOOD NEWS FOR ONCE!
Dear all, thanks to you, all 12defendants including Kang Dong-Kyun (mayor of the Gangjeong village), Kim Jong-Hwan (villager) and Kin Dong-Won (activist) were all released by the court decision on Nov. 23. The judge, while not acknowledging their ‘not guilty,’ but sentencing probation and/or fines on them, released all.
Sorry for late reporting. My computer has been broken so I could not send you this happy news early.
Thanks so much to all the signers. The petition has been sent to the court in the morning of Nov. 22 and we think it surely helped to release all the three in jail.

After having stopped the blast of Gureombi - planned for 18. November - and achieved the release of the defenders of Gangjeong and Jeju island as a place for world peace, this is the second good news from the 5 year struggle in just one week.

But the case is not over yet and real justice must be reinstated now by cleaning up the legal mess the naval base planners and their governmental as well as corporate friends in high offices had created.
