Your Excellency Sir, we the undersigned below members, elders and leaders of Sengwer (Cherangany) an ethnic minority hunter-gatherer indigenous peoples kindly request for humane intervention to bring to end, urgently, territorial expansion of Pokot tribe through cattle rustling.

Sir, we hereby call for government’s, urgent and immediate, action to arm Sengwer indigenous peoples living along Cherangany hills with atleast 300 guns (100 guns each in West Pokot, Marakwet and Trans Nzoia) to enable the community fight against the increasing cattle rustling that has hit Talau (West Pokot), Kapolet (Trans Nzoia) and Rogorr (Marakwet). The community is getting concerned since there’s very little action taken by the government even after being provided with reliable intelligence reports.

Today, Wednesday 24th November, Indonesia hosts its first ever arms fair in Jakarta, with over 250 companies attending [1] including UK-based Rolls Royce [2] and a subsidiary of BAE Systems, Atlas Elektronik [3]. Arms from UK based companies have been used against civilians and insurgents in the conflicts of West Papua and Aceh. Kenya Government Torturing Sengwer indigenous community

Dear all,

It is my hope that one day Sengwer (also referred to as Cherangany or Dorobo) will find peace and live as other Nations that make Kenya a country.

Elders and Leaders from the community have used every opportunity at their disposal to raise fundamental issues affecting the indigenous community since Kenya became a British colony to date, but little has been acheived. For example:- They've presented oral and/or written memoranda in.... 1. 1932 during the Carter Land Commission 2. 1999 boycotted population since until the government gave them census

Pada hari selasa tanggal 20 juli 2004 sekitar jam 12.30 delegasi Acheh, Papua dan Maluku berangkat dengan bes menuju ke Geneva dan untuk beraksi disana. Delegasi terdiri oleh 17 bangsa Acheh,15 bangsa Maluku dan 2 bangsa Papua. Saudara-2 dari Acheh ramai-2 turun dari Norway ke Belanda untuk ambil bagian. Dalam sejarah perjuangan dan kerja sama ketiga bangsa Acheh, Papua dan Maluku inilah pertama kali yang ada inisiatif untuk beraksi bersama di luar dan didalam gedung PBB.

This time, however, the Indians are determined. Traditionally warriors, they are willing to fight to prevent their lands from being invaded once more by miners in search of diamonds. The Cinta-Larga are fed up. During the visit of the Human Rights Congressional Commission to Roosevelt village, in the State of Rondônia, this past October 9, they complained to the representatives of the harassment they have been subjected to for more than 20 years and of the violence to which they are exposed every day.
