Today, there are some 2000 Hadzabe (singular : Hadza) living around Lake Eyasi (in Hadza language : Balangida!), which is situated within the great east African rift valley. The Hadzabe speak their own distinct click lout language and are known to be the aborigines on their land. It may well also be assumed that they are the direct descendants of the early humans who lived there some 3 million years ago as bone findings indicate.

86 arrested members of Sengwer indigenous peoples released

The 86 members of Sengwer an ethnic minority hunter-gatherers arrested last Thursday were charged of felony by Kitale court on friday and each given bond of Kshs 2000. By Saturday in the afternoon only one person was still in the police cell in Kapenguria.

Cultural exploitation of Hadzabe by German and Swiss institutions

The collection of important spiritual artefacts of the Hadzabe - a hunter-gatherer people located in East Africa - that had been stolen and brought to Germany by Nazi anthropologist Kohl-Larsen at the beginning of last century still is, unlawfully, in the hands of the Tubingen University, which means that the commercial exploitation of these artefact still bears fruit.
