The continuing destruction of the earth goes on unabated and any sign of it ever coming to an end has become a remote possibility, because there still remains places yet to be reached by the destructive ways of the so-called modern civilised man, to put into ruins.
This is how this modern civilised man, had looked at this world, with his covetous eyes: it is something to destroy and develop after destruction. It is but a commodity to be spent, in order for him to create opportunity for his other plans of further destruction. In his warped sense of advancement towards development, it was clearing the forests of flora and fauna and everything that existed there and polluting the environment to satisfy his need, or in other words, his greed.
But his greed remained insatiable ever since he set foot on other lands he claimed them as his own. He brought untold misery and slavery to the original inhabitants found and called uncivilised, when they stiffly resisted his intrusion into their peaceful existence.
It was the advent of repressive measures that are still in place now, to keep those uncivilised peoples from preventing him fully exploiting the treasures of his conquered lands. Driven by his unmitigating greed for material wealth, he never tried to understand the simple way s of life that those peoples knew before he came and that is, to take only what they needed.
He had not yet realised that despite all his empty boasts of being vastly superior in terms of technological advancement He had relentlessly pursued in his modern world, he had remained grossly ignorant of the basic lay of nature, which those uncivilised peoples had followed throughout their lives - nurture rather than torture, respect rather than destroy.
Despite all his claims of equality in the forms of government he formed, those uncivilised peoples had remained in cramped reservations, townships and villages he built for his purpose of getting what he wanted in any manner he wanted. Driven out of their natural environments and forcefully taught his concept of modern education that teaches greed, envy and corruption in the guise of personal advancement . To help him create more destruction.
Despite his unfulfilled promises of fairness in the capitalistic societies he established, those uncivilised peoples had languished physically and spiritually in the feudalistic bondage of slavery to his greedy ambitions of forever making him self rich and powerful.
For years now, this modern, civilised man had been talking about reforestation and cleaning the environment. But the greatest irony of it all is that those uncivilised peoples were never even mentioned in his plans, they who are still under the yoke of his oppressive systems, they who long for their freedom to hunt and gather and take nothing more beyond their needs, they who religiously practised the most civilised way of living - never destroying the earth that sustained them.
